I’m Vanessa, founder of Oiseau & Lapin. Oiseau & Lapin is a Chicago-based candle house devoted to tender memories, the thrill of discovery and timeless artistry.

My goal is simple: to craft beautifully scented candles that envelop you in my love of Paris. The Story Behind Oiseau et Lapin

 

What’s in a Name…

 

Oiseau & Lapin was born from love.

 

“Bird” and “Bunny” have long been the affectionate nicknames my husband and I use for one another. During our wedding in Paris, those names became part of our shared story in a meaningful way. Inspired by that moment—and by our enduring connection to the City of Light—we chose the French words for bird (oiseau) and bunny (lapin) to name our candle house.

 

Romantic, chic, a little whimsical, and deeply personal—just like the handcrafted candles we create.
